Clinical psychology is a branch of psychology that focuses on assessing, diagnosing, and treating psychological distress.
I am a senior, HCPC registered, clinical psychologist currently working in North London. I originally trained in New Zealand and have worked across a wide range of settings including private-practice, university, and community mental health. I am able to support adult clients with challenges related to:
- Mood and Anxiety
- Relationships
- Stress and Burnout
- Coping Skills
- ADHD and Autism
- Sex and Sexuality
- Sleep
- Emotion Regulation
- Trauma
- Men’s Health and Wellbeing
- LGBTQIA+ Wellbeing
- High Profile/Achievement
I am trained in a number of evidenced-based interventions and modalities including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). I use a formulation-driven approach that tailors the treatment to meet my clients unique psychological needs.
I believe therapy works best as a collaborative process – a space where we can explore your experiences together and develop practical strategies to support your wellbeing. My approach blends evidence-based techniques with a warm, compassionate, and relaxed style. You’ll leave each session with new tools and insights you can use in everyday life.
“Sam has been an incredible support during one of the most challenging periods of my life. From the beginning, he created a safe and welcoming space where I felt comfortable opening up about my experiences. He is patient, empathetic, and understanding – which made every session feel supportive and productive. What I most appreciated was the way that Sam combined compassion with practical guidance. He not only helped me process my experiences, but also provided me with tools and techniques that I continue to use in my day to day life. I am grateful for Sam’s guidance and would recommend him to anyone looking for a psychologist”.

“Dr. Clack provided an incredibly supportive space to work through men’s issues, sexuality, and intercultural challenges. His insight and compassion made it easy to open up and explore difficult topics honestly. Over time, his guidance helped me build a stronger sense of self and a healthier understanding of my relationships. I’m deeply grateful for the growth and confidence that came from our work together.”

“I was fortunate enough to be the recipient of Sam’s services recently. I was initially sceptical of what the outcomes would be, but I need not have worried. From the get-go Sam and I connected. That was primarily due to his communication skills which were outstanding. He put me at ease when I was most vulnerable in a genuinely caring and compassionate manner. As our sessions progressed, he identified my needs and introduced me to numerous new coping skills and techniques in a manner that I could understand. They have gone a long way to improving the quality of my life since. Sam is a consummate professional. I have no problem recommending him to anyone considering engaging his services. The attention to detail is impressive. I’ll definitely be back for more.”
